PC Strand Procurement Against Prestressing Project Requirements
Procure PC strand from the designer’s material schedule and the specified prestressing system. Diameter alone cannot define an acceptable supply. Our catalogue includes a strand candidate with coated-system references; confirm the actual construction, condition and project documentation before requesting approval for a bonded or unbonded application.

Extract the complete project material line
Carry the project standard, grade or strength class, nominal size and system requirements into each enquiry line. Keep drawing revisions and purchasing supplements attached to the schedule. Where the design documents differ, obtain the project team’s resolution rather than allowing the supplier quotation to choose an interpretation.
Distinguish strand supply from the complete system
State whether the purchase covers bare strand, sheathed strand or another specified supply form. Identify any separately required corrosion-protection components and interfaces. These details must follow the project system; a strand listing does not establish compatibility with every anchorage, installation method or engineering approval.

Request records for the actual proposed material
Ask for the applicable material documents and test scope against the project specification, tied to the offered production identity. Identify any required witness or independent inspection before ordering. Catalogue values and a sample certificate from another lot should not be treated as the acceptance record for your delivery.
Define dimensional and condition checks
Let the project specification determine the size basis, dimensional acceptance and required tests. Agree how the supplier will identify the material and how receiving will verify it. Photographs may show obvious condition issues, but they cannot establish tensile properties or substitute for the specified test documentation.
Review coil handling before dispatch
Provide the destination handling constraints, allowable package envelope and unloading arrangements for review. Confirm the actual coil weight and securing method in the offer. The illustration shows a supply form only; storage and handling at the project must follow the accepted product and project instructions.

Keep material approval separate from design responsibility
A supply quotation can identify material, documents and commercial scope. The project designer and authorized reviewers determine system suitability and approve deviations. Resolve any different grade, size, coating or strand construction in writing before purchase; a shared nominal diameter does not make a substitution acceptable.
Preserve coil identity through staged deliveries
Break project demand into the actual delivery lots and identify where each will be received. Agree labels and packing-list references that retain the material-document link. Avoid blending unapproved material into project stock while documents are under review, and record how an unidentified or damaged coil will be held.

Compare project quotations line by line
Use the same material schedule, inspection scope, packing basis and delivery destination for every commercial comparison. Confirm sample or submission charges, available quantities and scheduling in the actual offer. Strand material supply should not silently include engineering design, installation supervision or system warranties that have not been agreed.
Send a project-specific strand RFQ
Share the approved schedule, system description, relevant standard and drawing revision. Add required inspection documents, coil limits, delivery lots and project review steps. We can discuss the catalogue candidate and confirm the actual offered scope for your project team to evaluate before any material is accepted.
