An inch-size stainless bar drawing needs an agreed dimensional specification before stock is selected. Send the required round-bar size and cut length together, particularly where the enquiry refers to 6 m or 12 m lengths.

State the drawing units clearly

Keep the inch-size requirement explicit on the component drawing. Do not assume that an available metric diameter option is the same size without agreement on the dimensional requirement.

  • Identify the required round-bar size and drawing units.
  • Specify the exact stainless alloy designation.
  • Give the requested cut length for each bar.
  • Describe the surface and supplied condition needed.
  • Include any cutting or bending requirements relevant to the order.

Confirm the actual offered diameter

The round-bar options include 10, 20, 30, 50, 80, 100, 150 and 200 mm. Confirm which proposed section meets the inch-based drawing rather than substituting a similar numerical value.

Agree length and condition as one order

For a 6 m or 12 m request, obtain confirmation of the actual supplied length and material condition. Keep the grade, diameter and surface tied to the same bar specification before accepting the proposed stock.
