Confirm the requested grade

S450/S460/S500/S550 and ASTM AH36 title requirements need actual material evidence. The broad S235/Q235/Q345/A36/A572 family does not establish equivalence to those requests.

Choose one process and surface for the actual grade. A shipbuilding/offshore plate application field does not turn the round bar into plate or establish marine approval.

Provide diameter, length and inspection requirements. Free-cutting wording supplies no machinability or mechanical test result, and no structural capacity is established for the selected bar.
