STRENX 700 900 960 Steel Plate Requirements, 1–8 mm Thickness
Steel plate is described in thicknesses of 1–8 mm and widths of 600–1500 mm, with length defined by the customer. The material references include STRENX 700, 900 and 960 alongside AH36.
Resolve the exact required grade and obtain material traceability before approval; these designations must not be treated as interchangeable. The numbers in the STRENX names are not a verified mechanical test result. Specify rolling condition and any ultrasonic, bending or Charpy acceptance documentation required for the intended component.
For plate cutting or fabrication, specify the final blank dimensions and inspection requirements independently of the grade name. Obtain the documentation for the selected grade before relying on any strength designation.
