Steel Wire Rope for Rotary Drilling Rig and Tower Crane Requirements
Steel wire rope offers twelve diameters: 1, 1.2, 1.5, 1.8, 2, 2.5, 3, 5, 5.5, 6, 8 and 10 mm. A tensile range of 1400–1960 MPa and descriptive lengths of 5000–120000 mm are listed.
For a rotary drilling rig or tower crane, define the equipment specific rope construction, core, lay and termination requirements. Confirm the selected steel grade and whether the finish is electrogalvanized, bare or PVC coated. The broad descriptive diameter range does not identify a stocked equipment replacement.
