Steel shot for a small-scale surface-treatment project should be chosen by actual grading and particle form. Confirm the stainless material and hardness class before planning a blasting or polishing trial.
- Stainless Steel is the material option.
- 16-240# is the size label.
- Seven numeric grit choices are available.
- Round is the shape description.
- GP, GL and GH hardness classes are named.
Clarify the grading system
The model range and selected size label differ, and grit choices extend beyond both. Ask for the actual particle distribution instead of treating every numeric label as the same size system.
Confirm material and hardness class
Obtain the stainless composition and the GP, GL or GH requirement for the supply. Those classes should not be combined into a single universal hardness range.
Define the project process
State whether the steel shot is intended for blasting, polishing or another process. A grinder or resin-bonded reference does not establish compatibility with every small-project setup.
