80 Mesh Garnet Sand Requirements | Waterjet Cutting and Rust Removal Grade Selection
Garnet abrasive has actual Garnet material with an 80# specification and 80 grit choice. The body also contains 20/40 and 30/60 grading descriptions and a 9 Mohs hardness entry.
Specify the required grading standard and particle distribution for 80-mesh use. The number labels do not establish interchangeable sizing systems. Obtain a selected material and shape record rather than assuming one catalogue range defines the finished abrasive.
For waterjet cutting or rust-removal trials, provide equipment and surface acceptance. No measured cutting rate, nozzle-life or cleaning result is supplied. Request chemistry and grading evidence before assigning performance; general standard or MSDS wording does not approve a particular abrasive grade or guarantee compatibility with every workpiece.
