ShapeGRITS
Steel grit blast media should be selected by particle distribution and material specification. Confirm the intended G-series designation before considering a peening or cleaning requirement.
- GRITS is the stated particle form.
- Carton steel is the material-option wording.
- Eight G-series grit labels are selectable.
- The grain description is 0.3 without a unit.
- The stated hardness is 40-42HRC.
Confirm the material wording
Ask for the actual steel composition behind the option label. Do not infer a particular carbon steel grade from an apparent spelling error.
Specify the G-series grading
Choose the required G10, G18, G20, G25, G40, G50, G80 or G120 designation. Request its actual distribution rather than converting the unitless 0.3 value into millimetres.
Check the process requirement
State whether angular grit or another medium is needed. A peening term does not establish that grit can replace round shot in a controlled process.
