Phosphate wire size and strength
This non-alloy high carbon steel wire is described with phosphate finish and C1045–C1085 material references. Five diameters are selectable: 1.8, 2, 2.5, 3 and 3.7mm. The listed tensile range is 830–1350 MPa. Choose the exact material and size and confirm the tensile condition applicable to the delivered wire.
For further drawing, provide the required starting condition, surface acceptance and final process requirements. The tolerance entries are 0.02mm and 0.03mm without an assigned size or sign; agree the applicable dimensional acceptance rather than assuming either value is universal. Phosphate finish does not establish a drawing reduction capability or a corrosion rating. No hardness, fatigue result or finished component load is supplied by the general material description.
